Product Design at Trainline
My love of train travel led me to Trainline to design for the native iOS and Android apps, across the UK and international markets. I create end-to-end solutions from ideation to high fidelity visuals, and collaborate with a team of engineers for implementation within the Agile framework.
Seatmaps | iOS & Android
Choosing a specific seat on a train has been a key feature for Trainline since 2018. Near the end of 2020, the project was prioritised for and I lead the end-to-end iOS and Android app design.
My Tickets Redesign | iOS & Android
One of the biggest projects I’ve led at Trainline is a redesign and improved experience of the My Tickets tab. As this tab is one of the most complex areas of the app, it’s been an exciting opportunity to combine a variety of skills to create and implement a better design for our users.
Key features for French users | iOS & Android
Throughout my time at Trainline, we have been steadily migrating French customers to our global platform. These users are familiar and loyal to our Trainline EU product, and we wanted to retain key features and functionality when they switched to our global platform.

Crowd Alerts Improvements | iOS & Android
Crowd Alerts was a a feature launched to help customers socially distance on trains during the coronavirus pandemic. Although users who saw and interacted with this feature rated it highly, engagement was low. I audited the existing service and together with the product owner and tech lead, worked on end-to-end solutions to increase engagement of the feature.

Mandatory app features | iOS & Android
Key to my work at Trainline are designing for mandatory features and experiences that are essential to the product success and upkeep. These range from small to medium improvments, but they are key to a successful service and often require interesting problem solving.
